If you’re hosting a large picnic party, you’ll likely want to find a picnic shelter to keep guests out of the sun and provide everyone with ample table space and seating. Did you know Raleigh has more than 70 picnic shelters?
We’ve created a list of some of the picnic shelters across Raleigh and segmented them by ones that require a reservation and those that do not. Sweetgum - Seats 50 guests. Includes eight tables and one grill.
Sycamore - Seats 35 - 40 guests. Includes six tables but does not have a grill.

Shelter #2 - Seats 10 guests. One table but does not have a grill.

Anderson Point
Medium Shelter - Seats 36 - 60 guests. Includes twelve tables and one grill.
Rental Fee: $12 per hour
Large Shelter - Seats 100. Includes 28 guests and two grills.
Rental Fee: $20 per hour

Pullen Park
Island Gazebo - Seats 50-100. Be aware that this a gazebo and does not offer tables or grills.
Rental Fee: $30/hour
Carousel Pavilion - Seats 60 guests. Eight tables but no grills.
Rental Fee: $30 per hour
Pullen Park also has six other picnic shelters for rent that range from offering seven tables and one grill to up to 15 tables and two grills.
Rental Fee: $24 - $30 per hour
